Haku Shah (b. 1934) born in a small village named Valod of Gujarat. He is a renowned figurative painter from Baroda School. The emotions of folk and tribal art of India are originated in his skills. He is awarded `Padma Shree’, `Nehru Fellowship’. He has also been awarded `Kala-Ratna’ by AIFACS and `Kala-Gaurava’ by Gujarat Lalit Kala Akademi for his immense contribution to art.
