Amruta (b. 1987, Nagpur, Maharashtra) is a visual artist with a specialization in printmaking and painting. She earned her Master of Fine Arts (Graphics) from Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh (2011), and a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts (Painting) from Govt. Chitrakala Mahavidyalaya, Nagpur (2009). Between 2011 and 2013, she worked as a freelance artist at the Graphics Studio, Bharat Bhawan, Bhopal.
Amruta has received several awards, including the Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation City Award (2017), First Prize at the All India Women Contemporary Art Exhibition (2012, Chandigarh), and Second Prize at “Aranya” (RAD, Kolkata, 2012). She has also exhibited her artworks in national exhibitions organized by Lalit Kala Akademi, Bombay Art Society, Dhoomimal Art Gallery and many more.
Her recent group exhibitions include “V-Chitra” at Amdavad ni Gufa (2024) and “Lines of Insight” with Nexus Art (2023). Earlier shows include “Identities” at Jehangir Art Gallery (2017) and “Art Beyond Boundaries” at Bharat Bhawan (2016). Amruta has also participated in prominent printmaking workshops and international art camps, including the 2023 National Printmaking Workshop organized by Lalit Kala Akademi.
She lives and works in Vadodara.
