Anant Mehta

Graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University, Baroda, in 1965. His works have been showcased at The Guild Art Gallery, Mumbai; Dhoomimal Art Centre, New Delhi; Nehru Centre, London; and Art Fusion Gallery, New York.

He is a recipient of the Senior Artist Fellowship from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and the Gujarat State Lalit Kala Akademi. In 2015, he was honoured with the Gaurav Puraskar by the State Lalit Kala Akademi.

He has received several awards, including those from the Gujarat State Lalit Kala Akademi (1963, 1964, 1973, 1979, and 1994), the Bombay Art Society (1971 and 1994), Maha Koshal, Madhya Pradesh (1980), and the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (1990).

His works are part of collections at the Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi; Gujarat State Lalit Kala Akademi; Roopanker Museum, Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal; Air India; PRL, Ahmedabad; ESSAR, Mumbai; Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, UAE; and numerous private collections in India and abroad.

He currently lives and works in Ahmedabad.
