An original work on canvas by Bharti Prajapati.
She has derived the essence of her painting from a doha by Kabir.
With a fast and competitive lifestyle, it's indeed a soul soothing experience to absorb some wise words from a great saint, philosopher and guide.
Zini zini beeni chadariya, kahe ke tana, kahe ke bharni,
Kaun taar se bini chadariya.
Aanth kawal dal charkha dole, paanch tatva gun tini chadariya.
Sau chadar sur nar muni oodhi, oodhi ke maili kini chadariya.
Daas Kabir jatan kari oodhi, jyo ki tyo dhar dini chadariya.
What is life but criss cross threads of actions and reactions.
We become what we are by our deeds,
which then makes up our character and personality.
Kabir in his doha has made a classic comparison of human personality with a fabric.
Our existence is a culmination od the five elements, our body is a miracle creation of the cosmos.
We are born pure and divine, our deeds one by one like the wrap
and weft of a fabric make is a person we are.
Every one that is ‘sur’ animal, ‘nar’ human, ‘muni’ saint, have their deeds to account for.
Eventually the fabric or person is recognized pure or impure as their deeds.
Kabir has been very cautious and careful of his deeds,
hence remained pure, his fabric/ soul has departed pure and divine just as it was born.
We rise from the elements, and return into elements.
