An original work on canvas by Bharti Prajapati.

She has derived the essence of her painting from a doha by Kabir.
With a fast and competitive lifestyle, it's indeed a soul soothing experience to absorb some wise words from a great saint, philosopher and guide.

Kaalchakra chakki chale, bahut divas aur raat,
sagun - aagun doy patla, taame jiv piraat.
Chalti chaaki dekh kar, diya kabira roy,
do patan ke beech mai, sabut bacha na koy.

Kaalchakra the wheel of time rotates day and night,
between the positive and negative times life goes on and on.
Chaki the grinding wheel with its two sides is metaphor
for the two phases of life happiness and sorrow.
Kabir looks at the grinding wheel and is full of grief.
We all living beings are forced to go through the daily grind,
between the good and bad times.
Doing one’s duty and being detached
with the consequences is the way to remain free.
