The black Bindu in this painting represents the concentration of all the energy and creation, and the four colored areas surrounding the Bindu represent the fundamental elements of nature that is, akash, agni, bhoomi, jala and their equal divisions represent their collective balance in the nature.
According to Raza, all colours encompass to become black. Here, the Bindus in five different colours encompassed inside the bigger black Bindu, gives away two of many interpretations, firstly, all the coloured Bindus represent five fundamentals of life and their individual representations in a circular format, symbolize that they are their complete, balanced individual entities. Secondly these Bindus encompassed inside a bigger black Bindu represent, that all these together make up the cosmos.
