A contemporary visual artist working at the intersection of art, installation, and design, exploring his fascination with everyday objects and images. Central to Lochan’s practice is the philosophy of repurposing and recontextualizing discarded, found, and regenerated objects into intricate sculptures and installations. that explore themes of mobility, identity, and urban spaces.
His notable project, Power of Cloth, supported by the FICA Public Art Grant, has travelled internationally, with exhibitions including Ready Made at Gallery Albert Benamou in Paris, Change Exchange at Tamarind Arts Council in New York, Regards Croisés at Art Plural Gallery in Singapore, and Critical Masses at the Tel Aviv Museum of Contemporary Art. A chair from this project is now part of the permanent collection at the Thierry Barbier-Mueller Foundation and has been exhibited at A Chair and You at both the GRASSI Museum of Applied Arts in Leipzig, Germany (2024), and the Museum of Contemporary Design in Switzerland (2023).
