
Artist from Punjab, delves deep into the hidden recesses of personal emotions, emerging from the subtle repetition of everyday life. Her work lingers in the unnoticed flow of daily life, where familiar patterns loop and linger. It observes the push and pull between ease and restlessness. Through gestures, objects, and overlooked corners of the home, she explores the emotional weight of the ordinary—where beauty, discomfort, and reflection quietly coexist. Simran holds a Masters of Visual Arts (M.V.A.) in Printmaking from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara where she earned the prestigious Prof. V.S. Patel Gold Medal in Printmaking. Her educational foundation was laid with distinction as she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Graphics (Printmaking) from Government College of Art, Chandigarh.
Simran’s work has graced numerous exhibitions, including the prestigious 2nd International Print Beinal 2021 at Lalit Kala Akademi and Women Indian Printmakers by National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi. Due to her avid interest towards art history and writing, she was a cohort of the Writing Fellowship in 2023 by the esteemed BICAR X Space Studio Baroda. She was also the part of Embark VI-VII 2024, a group show in Vadodara by curated Ark Foundation for the Arts, the Baroda Art Trail, and Abhivyakti City Arts Project 2024. She recently showcased her work at the 18th Edition of The Baroda March curated by Rukshaan Art at Mumbai, Inside The Empty Box under MAG Contemporary Young Artist Grant 2025 Program, New Delhi, and Dhi Contemporary, Hyderabad.
Her work has been recognized on both national and international stages, with accolades such as the National Travel Grant from Punjab Lalit Kala Akademi to the Serendipity Arts Festival in Goa and a Studio scholarship from Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi at Open Hand Art Studios. She currently works in Vadodara.
