Suguresh Sultanpur is a freelance artist based in Vadodara, India. He holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts (B.V.A.) in Painting from Ken School of Arts, Bangalore (2006) and a Master’s in Visual Arts, Graphic Arts (Printmaking) from M.S. University of Baroda (2010). Suguresh has exhibited widely in both national and international platforms. His notable solo and group exhibitions include “Boxes and Bookends” in Mumbai and Delhi (2010), “The Baroda March” in Mumbai (2016), and the “1st Print Biennial in India” (2018). He has also showcased his work in international exhibitions, such as the 9th Bharat Bhavan International Print Biennial (2011) and the Tirana Biennial of Graphic Arts (2022).
Suguresh’s participation extends to numerous workshops and art camps, with contributions to workshops on printmaking and photography at institutes like IIT Gandhinagar and P P Savani University. He has received several prestigious awards, including the Jeram Patel Award (2010), the Kalanand Art Contest Award (2016), and the Euro Art Tour Winner (2019). He was also a recipient of the Junior Fellowship Grant from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India (2014-2015).
In addition to his artistic achievements, Suguresh has created documentary works, highlighting various aspects of art processes and the rich tradition of printmaking. He lives and works in Vadodara.
